Prices start at about $2995. This does include a digital album. Photography is beautiful and worth considering on this basis. However, this photographer appears to have the most expensive budget options available.

My Photobook
This would be an alternative to a photographer's produced Queensberry album. Providing the package purchased from your photographer includes high resolution copies of the photographs taken or the negatives. Average price would be $780.

Kawau Island:
A picturesque setting for a wedding. Mansion House Restaurant can host a wedding of 100 guests - including the wedding party, although they would be more comfortable with only about 80 guests. They offer a courtyard setting nestled in amongst the trees. Birds singing in the trees and peacocks wandering around the grounds provide wonderful photo opportunities. You would be able to utilise the whole grounds for wedding photos. An application must be made with DOC for permission to hold the wedding on the island. This is to ensure that there is no other wedding being held on the same day and is a formality. Cost is dependent on what is required - just the permit costs $106. Application can also be made to have a room available to the bride and attendants to get ready before the wedding, use the House for indoor photos and other incidentals. It is possible to plan a wedding on Kawau Island independent of the restaurant, providing your own catering, marquee and entertainment. Charges are made on a per head basis and whether you use a marquee. Again arrangements have to be made to return the grounds back to their original condition - remove rubbish and take down the marquee if used. Marquee would most lightly be hired from McEntee Warkworth who would provide the labour to put it up, but transporting it to the island would have to be arranged through Kawau Kat Ferrys. The permit only allows celebrations to continue until sunset. Although a permit is still required if using the Mansion House Restaurant their opening hours until 11pm apply.
In the event that the weather is still cool mid November next year the venue provides outdoor heaters. They do not provide table cloths, however, do have table decorations that is in keeping with Kawau Island theme featuring the peacocks. A marquee can be used if preferred either from McEntee Warkworth (cost approximately $1,275). The Restaurant has a basic stereo to play your own selection of cds. If you prefer a DJ or live entertainment can be hired - consideration would have to be given to delivering their equipment to the Island. Venue costs for the grounds are $500 and estimated costs for a buffet are $30 - $40 per head. Menu options can be discussed with the chef. Finger food can also be provided for guests while the Bridal party is having photos taken. Charges for this would be about $8 per head for 5 selections. Alternatively instead of a dessert a cheese board and fresh fruit platter can be served to guests during this time. The Bridal party is served its own cheese board and fruit platter during the photo session as part of the cost of the buffet. The restaurant has a liquor licence until 11pm. It is a cash bar. Application can be made to extend this until 1am and this can cost an extra $150. However, it can be arranged to continue the celebrations on board the Kawau Kat while cruising Bon Accord Harbour, North Cove, Snell Beach and other options at the captains discretion according to weather conditions. This would cost an extra $15 per passenger - including children. The Kawau Kat has a licence until 1am for the cash bar. There is a juke box on board (at no extra charge) for entertainment. Guests would also travel to Kawau Island on the Kawau Kat which would cost $38 for adults and $20 for children return. This cost would be confirmed nearer to the date as fuel charges are changing so frequently. Travel to Kawau Island would be on the Kawau Kat departing from Warkworth Sandspit. The water taxi would also be an option for leaving Kawau for those guests who may not wish to contiune to party on board the Kawau Kat if the cruise option is chosen. They would pay a one way fare to Kawau Island of $20 per adult. Therefore their travel costs are potentially only an extra $2 each providing 5 people use the water taxi to leave the island after the wedding.
An appointment needs to be made with Maree at Mansion House Restaurant to discuss all these options and to view the venue. When boarding the ferry for this consultation advise the crew the purpose of your visit and there will be no charge for the trip.
Finally it is possible to use the Kawau Kat for a wedding crusie and not landing on Kawau Island at all.
The Kat is limited to carrying 70 passengers. For a wedding on board a guest list of 30 -40 would be more ideal. There would only be sufficient room for about 25-30 guests to be seated at tables for the meal and guests would be spread between two decks.
There is a choice between 2 menus starting at a cost of $56 per person. Copies of each menu can be emailed if required. The skipper can act as your celebrant and can be dress in full naval warrants if you wish.
Kawau Island and Kawau Kats offer many choices and combinations between being on the sea and on an island.
